Georges Perec was a French writer and an intriguing man. Born in 1936 in Paris, of  Polish Jewish descent. He died of lung cancer at only 46 and is particularly famous for writing a 300 hundred page novel, with no ‘e’s in it.  – ‘La Disparation’, which has been translated into English as ‘A Void’.

My book is a small and floppy tribute to Perec and a contemplation on life without ‘e’s, or possibly, other selected vowels.

The first page, the setting of the scene.
Pages 3 and 4, the absence of ‘A’
The ending, a tribute to absent ‘e’s.
